Turmeric (Curcuma longa)
Plant part used: Rhizome. A heating and bitter rhizome, Turmeric is native to India and Southeast Asia and is a key ingredient in the native cuisine; Turmeric is what makes curry bright yellow. Turmeric provides warming and moving actions to assist normalized respiratory functions. It helps to clear the channels of the breath and supports the body’s ability to respond to occasional inflammation that may be exacerbated during respiratory challenges. Coriander is a warming, uplifting and fragrant spice commonly used in curry. It has a wonderful affinity for both the respiratory and digestion systems for its ability to soothe occasional irritation, clear congestion and for its ability relieve occasional digestive bloating, irritation and gas.
Neem (Azadirachta indica)
Plant part used: Leaf. Primary actions: Strengthens the body’s ability to respond to occasional inflammation, boosts immune, respiratory and liver functions, balances blood sugar, supports healthy skin, cooling, and astringent. Key words: Rich in quercetin and antioxidants, cooling, soothing and astringent.
Neem is a tree native to India and South East Asia, commonly known as the village pharmacy in recognition for its use as a panacea herb for many common issues. Aller Support contains the cooling and astringent Neem leaf as it helps to support the body’s ability to respond to inflammation, increase respiratory and immune system function, and lessen excess mucous. Neem has a protective action to the support the health of the respiratory, liver and digestive systems. In the analysis and rating on the ORAC scale (a measurement of antioxidant activity), Neem leaf, bark and oil, were found to be 3 times denser in antioxidants when compared to many common fruits and vegetables. Black Pepper (Piper nigrum-Fructus)
Plant part used: Fruit. Primary actions: Helps to clear congestion, boosts respiratory, digestive, circulatory system function, and a synergistic action when combined with other herbs for better absorption. Key words: Heating, drying, moving, breaking up congestion assists in assimilation.
Black Pepper is a heating and spicy fruit commonly used as a spice in cooking. It acts as a catalyst in many herbal formulas to increase the overall potency or synergy of the herbal formula. In this formula Black Pepper is used to assist in healthy respiratory function, to clear and dry up excess mucous and to strengthen digestion. Studies have shown that curcumin absorption (one of the actives in turmeric) are absorbed up to 100 times more when combined with piprene (one of the actives in black pepper).
