Our vision is to offer a synergy of organic, therapeutic and cruelty-free herbal products that are great for the whole family, our pets and our planet.

  • Fair wages for the farmers in India - We pay 10% above the market price to the farmers who organically grow or ethically wild craft our herbs in India. This additional revenue helps to ensure that the farming families and wildcrafters have an investment in their future.
  • We work directly with farmers surrounding Vita Farms in India to help support their conversion to organic agriculture by paying for their certification process. Of the neighboring farms, 150 have been 100% organic for more than 2 years. This year, we have supported an additional 74 farmers converting to organic and being certified by ECOCERT through Nisarga.
  • We play an active role in our community by sponsoring community dog washes where all profits go to charity to support spay and neuter programs.
  • We donate to charity with many of our sales and promotions giving up to 10% of profits to support women’s charity organizations in the USA and abroad.
  • We are the distributors of PeaceKeeper Cause-Metics who donate 100% of after-tax profits to women’s rights and advocacy organizations.
  • We support local organic agriculture. For our staff in Florida, we created a bountiful onsite organic garden to help offset the rising cost of food and to support their connection with the earth, locally produced food and to encourage them to be outside in the fresh air during their breaks.
  • In 2010, we are launching our TheraPooch line with 5% of the total sales to be donated to spay and neuter programs in rural areas of the USA and in Satara, our rural community in India.

Green Initiatives

  • We manufacture our 90% organic Neem soaps using primarily solar power in our curing facility. With assistance from NASA, we believe that this is the nation’s first solar-powered soap curing facility.
  • We offset our carbon footprint by allowing seven of our employees to work from home, lessening a dependence on oil by eliminating their commute and fueling a better quality of life with more family time.
  • We helped restart the region’s only recycling program that was permanently shut down after the hurricanes. Organix currently recycles more than 1600 pounds of materials a month!
  • We support organic agriculture by using as many organic ingredients in our personal care products as possible. All of our herbal dietary supplements are certified organic and/or ethically wild crafted and certified organic.
  • We believe in sustainable sourcing. We conduct regular audits of our raw material suppliers to assure that they are practicing sustainable harvesting methods, and that they are in compliance with the Good Agriculture Collection Practices. Organix-South has signed the Rainforest Action Network pledge to use only environmentally sensitive palm oil and is calling for other major manufacturers to require standards that protect rainforests.
  • We are a direct line. While using distributors has many benefits from a sales perspective, we reduce fossil fuel consumption when we ship directly to our retail partners.
  • We use only environmentally sensitive packaging for products and shipping – no styrofoam peanuts or plastic fillers, just recycled paper and cardboard with vegetable-based ink for packaging as well as printed marketing materials.
  • We use environmentally friendly cleaning products at our headquarters in Bowling Green, Florida.
